What is Social Casino?
A free-to-play casino game where the chips, coins, or credits have no real-money value.
In detail
A social casino is a casino-style game (slots, blackjack, bingo, poker) where the virtual currency cannot be cashed out and the studio doesn't take real-money wagers. Players spin for fun, climb VIP tiers, and collect free chip drops. Real-money gambling is explicitly off-limits. DoubleDown Casino, Slotomania, myVEGAS Slots, House of Fun, and most of the apps Morning Reward tracks are social casinos.

FAQ
Social Casino questions, answered
Is a social casino real-money gambling?
No. Social casinos are free-to-play games with virtual chips, coins, or credits that have no cash value and can't be withdrawn. The studio sells optional chip packs through in-app purchases, but you're buying game currency, not gambling.
Can you win real money on a social casino?
You can't win cash from the slots themselves. A few social casinos (myVEGAS Slots, Hard Rock Neverland Casino) connect to real loyalty programs where in-game play earns tier credits toward real hotel or dining perks, but that's a hotel rewards program, not gambling winnings.
Why do social casinos exist if there's no money to win?
They're entertainment products. People play them the same reason they play match-3 puzzles or Candy Crush, with optional in-app purchases for whoever wants to spend money to speed things up.
