One name, two completely different games

Rare gems is an unusual list because the two games behind it could hardly be less alike. In Bejeweled Blitz, the long-running match-three game from PopCap and EA, rare gems are a prestige currency you earn and spend on rare-gem-only rewards and boosts. In Diggy's Adventure, Pixel Federation's mining-and-puzzle adventure, gems are the premium currency that speeds up digging, energy, and construction. Same word, entirely different role, which is exactly why a single template could never describe both, and why the drops here are labelled by game.

What a gem link is actually worth in each

In Bejeweled Blitz, gems tend to come in small numbers but matter a lot, since they unlock things ordinary coins and boosts cannot, so even a modest gem link is worth grabbing. In Diggy's Adventure, gems are the resource you would otherwise be tempted to buy, so a free gem link is money you did not spend, useful for skipping an energy wall or a long build. Neither game floods you with gems: Bejeweled Blitz posts one Rare Gem link every Sunday, and Diggy's Adventure posts no gem links at all, only the occasional code, which makes this a low-volume list where every link counts.

Catch them while they are live

Because the Bejeweled Blitz gem arrives on Sundays, usually in the late afternoon UTC, a Sunday evening check catches it; the same gems also come round again about every 16 weeks. The newest link at the top is always the one to try. Both games carry no cash value on their gems; they are there to move you through the game faster, not to pay out.
