Wizard of Oz Slots

Wizard of Oz Slots is Zynga's officially licensed Wizard of Oz slot game, and it is the biggest of the studio's social casino titles by audience.

The licensing is unusually layered, which is worth knowing because it is what the game is actually selling. Turner Entertainment holds the Wizard of Oz trademark, and there is a separate Warner Bros. licence covering Judy Garland's likeness. So the Dorothy you see is licensed as a specific performance, not a generic character.

Progression follows the film rather than a generic level ladder. You work through Worlds mapped to the story's chapters, from the Kansas Farm through Munchkinland to Emerald City, unlocking machines as you go.

Credits are the only currency. They are virtual, have no cash value, and cannot be cashed out.

The single most useful thing to know about this game's free economy, and something our own earlier copy did not mention at all.

Wizard of Oz Slots runs a bonus wheel every 60 minutes. Not daily, not every few hours. Hourly.

That makes it one of the faster bonus cycles among the games we cover, and it changes the shape of how you should play: several short check-ins across a day collect several wheels, where one evening session collects one.

Nothing accumulates while you are away, so a wheel that has been sitting ready since breakfast has not built up anything extra by the evening.

Alongside it sit a daily login bonus and daily Scratchers, which are separate claims on their own cycle.

Launched in April 2016, the Loyalty Lounge is Zynga's VIP programme, and its distinguishing feature is that it is not confined to this game.

You link your accounts across Zynga titles and accumulate VIP points that count toward shared tiers, running Sapphire through Diamond and beyond.

The practical consequence: if you also play Hit It Rich, Willy Wonka Slots or Zynga Poker, all of which we cover, your play in those games contributes to the same standing rather than being siloed. That makes climbing considerably faster than it looks from inside any one title.

If you are only ever going to play one Zynga game, the programme is a conventional VIP ladder. If you play two or three, linking them is the single highest-value administrative thing you can do.

• The hourly wheel: Every 60 minutes, and the main recurring source.
• Daily login bonus: A separate claim on a daily cycle.
• Daily Scratchers: Scratch-card style rewards, claimed daily.
• Clubs: Joining an active club adds shared rewards on top of solo play.
• Facebook friend gifts: Credits exchanged with friends, reciprocally.
• Events: The rotating event calendar, with its own prizes.
• Bonus features in machines: Free spins and in-machine bonus rounds.
• Official link posts: Credit links posted to the game's official channels, which our free credits page collects.

Zynga does not publish a fixed welcome bonus figure for this game, so treat any specific starter-credit number you find quoted elsewhere as a guess.

Two of these depend on other people: clubs and friend gifting. Both are reciprocal, so an active club and a handful of friends who actually send gifts back are worth more over a week than any single bonus.

No. There is no code redemption system and no field to enter anything into.

Zynga distributes clickable links instead, which credit your account automatically when opened while you are logged into the game. Those are real and they work; they are simply not codes.

So any site offering Wizard of Oz Slots promo codes is describing a mechanism the game does not have.

The game launched globally on iOS and Android in 2014, with Zynga adding Amazon Appstore distribution the same year and a browser version playable through Facebook Connect.

That browser route should not be relied on now: Meta ended support for web games on Facebook on 1 September 2026. The mobile apps are the dependable way in.

Facebook remains useful for two other things, though. The official page is an active source of credit links, and Facebook Connect is still how friend gifting and cross-device progress work, so linking the account is worth doing even if you only play on your phone.

No. Credits are virtual, cannot be withdrawn and cannot be exchanged for cash or prizes. The game pays out nothing.

The Scratchers deserve a specific note because the format invites confusion. They are a credit reward styled after scratch cards, not entries into any real lottery, and nothing is at stake beyond virtual credits.

No return-to-player figures, hit rates or jackpot odds are published, which is standard for the category.

Zynga's own catalogue is the most direct comparison, because the Loyalty Lounge pools progress across all of it.

• Willy Wonka Slots: Zynga's other big licensed slots title, sharing the Loyalty Lounge.
• Hit It Rich: Zynga's multi-licence social casino, also on the Loyalty Lounge.
• Zynga Poker: The studio's poker title, if you want decisions rather than reels.
• Jackpot Party: A large WMS-licensed library with a busier event calendar.
• Heart of Vegas: Aristocrat cabinets and a notably generous free-coin schedule.
• Gold Fish Casino Slots: Real WMS and Bally machines, if authentic cabinets appeal more than a film licence.

Within Zynga, playing two or more titles is genuinely better than playing one, because the Loyalty Lounge pools your VIP progress across them. Willy Wonka Slots is the natural companion. Outside Zynga, Heart of Vegas runs the more forgiving free economy.
