Bingo Pop

Bingo Pop, listed in full as Bingo Pop: Play Live Online, is a mobile-first social casino title in the live multiplayer bingo subgenre. The core is 75-ball bingo played in real time against a global player base, marking numbers on one or more cards as they are called.

Around that sits the meta-progression familiar from freemium mobile games: themed rooms that unlock by level, Collection Events with exclusive rewards, a pet-collecting system and rotating adventure board events. It is designed to work either as a short session, the daily bonus plus a few rounds, or as an extended grind through event farming and club tournaments, and it supports online multiplayer and offline solo play alike.

Every winning is virtual. There is no real-money gambling and no cash prizes.

Bingo Pop was originally developed by Uken Games, a Toronto mobile developer, and launched on the iOS App Store on 18 February 2013, which makes it one of the earlier mainstream mobile bingo games. In November 2018 Jam City acquired the title and its development team from Uken, folding the Toronto team into a new Jam City studio and continuing live operations from there.

Jam City is a Los Angeles developer and publisher based in Culver City, known for casual franchises including Cookie Jam and Panda Pop as well as licensed titles such as Disney Emoji Blitz. It has run Bingo Pop as a live-service game since the acquisition, with regular seasonal events and system expansions.

• iOS: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Vision. Requires iOS 13.0 or later, at roughly 421 MB.
• Android: Phones and tablets on Android 6.0 or later. APK size varies by build.
• Facebook web: A web version exists with limited functionality. Notably, rewarded links have to be claimed through the mobile app.

Offline play is supported and switches over automatically when no connection is detected, which is genuinely unusual in this genre. Social features, clubs, gifting and events, plus store purchases, all need to be online. Connecting your account to Facebook from the title screen enables cross-save between devices, and guest accounts do not sync reliably, so it is worth linking before you switch phones rather than after.

Higher bets increase payouts, unlock Mega Bingo, which is four bingos on one card, and increase the number of puzzle pieces appearing on cards. Some modes offer auto-daub, but manual daubing remains the primary interaction.

• Classic Bingo: Standard 75-ball with various pattern objectives, in real-time multiplayer.
• Speed Bingo: A faster variant allowing up to 12 cards at once, which makes it the best mode for XP and cherry farming.
• Offline Bingo: Solo play with no connection. The core mechanics survive, but there is no multiplayer competition and no social features.

There are 15+ themed rooms spanning more than 900 levels, with rooms on the main path locked until you reach the required level. A separate High Rollers lobby, reached through a gold bingo ball with a crown, holds high-stakes rooms with much larger cherry costs and jackpots. Those are unlocked by earning stars through puzzle completion rather than by levelling, which is a distinction worth knowing.

Power-ups are bought with coins and give an edge during a round.

• XP Tile: Drops an XP tile on each card for faster levelling.
• Coin Tile: Drops a coin tile on each card for extra coins.
• Cherry Tile: Drops a cherry tile on each card for extra cherries, and boosts event item rates too.
• Single and Double Daub: Grants one or two free daubs per card.
• Instant Bingo: Places an instant bingo tile on a card.

Daubers are the cosmetic markers your daubs leave on the card. You can own several and switch between them under Profile then Daubers, with more available from the Dauber Shop for coins and through events.

Progression runs on XP and player levels, which gate access to new rooms on the main path. You earn XP by daubing XP tiles and winning rounds. Running parallel to that is a VIP tier system driven by VIP Points.

Cherries

The main currency, used to bet on rounds and enter some events. Free sources are extensive: winning bingos, daubing Cherry Tiles, Collection Event tiers, daily and special goals, pet set levelling, the Daily Club Bonus, player levels, friends' gifts, rewarded video ads, card packs, lockbox sets, Adventure Energy spins and the Daily Bonus jar. Coins

Used for power-ups, scratch cards and daubers. Earned from placing in bingos, winning bingos in Scratch Cards, daubing Coin Tiles, playing Hidden Item rooms, daily and weekly goals, levelling up, friends' gifts, card packs and Adventure Energy spins.

Everything else

Purple Tickets redeem for pets. Adventure Energy buys spins on board events at ten energy per spin. VIP Points climb the tier ladder. Stamps come from cherry bundles and fill a Loyalty Card for bonus rewards.

On VIP: everyone starts at Tier 1 and accumulates points through purchases, gameplay and VIP Stage puzzles. Higher tiers raise the purchase cherry bonus, improve daily spinner rewards, add Collection Event bonuses, unlock exclusive VIP Goals from Tier 4, and open the VIP Stage at Tier 9, an exclusive room with extra VIP Points and puzzle prizes.

• Dauber Pets: More than 30 collectible pets earned by daubing Pet Tiles, organised into sets. Completing and levelling sets pays cherries, and you can request specific stickers from friends or club members.
• Collection Events: Limited-time events where you collect stickers, cards or themed objects by playing bingo, with each tier paying cherries, coins and pets.
• Adventure Events: Seasonal board-game events including Star Spin, Jungle Quest, Food Truck, Winter Rescue and Lemonade Stand, where ten Adventure Energy buys a spin moving a mascot along a path.
• Puzzles: Most rooms have a puzzle completed by collecting pieces during rounds. Completion redeems for cherries, and some rooms then add a daily bonus on top.
• Scratch Cards: A minigame where scratching reveals numbers that auto-daub your card, capable of producing bingos, Double, Triple and Mega Bingos, and puzzle pieces exclusive to the scratch card puzzle.

Free to play, monetised through in-app purchases and optional ads. Store listings show cherry and coin bundles from $0.99 up to $19.99, with intermediate steps at $1.99, $2.99, $4.99 and $9.99, and larger bundles reported beyond that. Rewarded video ads on iOS and Android pay extra cherries from the Daily Bonus jar.

The game states explicitly that it offers no real-money gambling and no real prizes, and that practice or success at social casino gaming does not imply future success at real-money gambling.

The friction point is cherry scarcity. As you move into higher-stakes rooms the costs escalate quickly, which is what makes sustained play hard without either purchases or a genuinely disciplined free routine.

Still in active live operations, with content drops and a monthly-plus update cadence. Recent additions include the Canoe Creek seasonal stage, a nature and river-themed room introduced in August 2026, and the Whittled Wildlife pet set released alongside it. Collection Events rotate constantly, and the adventure board events cycle through the year.

Version updates land several times a month, typically carrying bug fixes, balance tweaks and new content. Nothing about the schedule suggests a game winding down.

Ratings hold up well despite the economy complaints: 4.6 out of 5 on Google Play across 256,000 reviews with 10M+ downloads, and 4.5 out of 5 on the App Store from 26,000 ratings.

What works

• The variety of modes and rooms, which keeps a long-running account from stalling.
• Presentation, with players consistently praising the graphics and performance.
• Offline play, which almost nothing else in the genre offers.
• The social layer of clubs, friends and gifting, and the depth of the collections for long-time players.

What frustrates people

• Cherry scarcity and High Roller costs: The dominant complaint, with players reporting that even a large purchase covers only a handful of High Rollers games.
• Final collection items: Drop rates on the last item in a set are widely perceived as unfair, which is exactly why trading matters.
• RNG patterns: High duplicate numbers across cards comes up repeatedly.
• Inactive clubs: Being placed with members who never play makes club progression a dead end.

Developer responses to reviews are polite and templated, acknowledging the feedback without committing to changes. Treat the complaints as a fair description of the late-game experience rather than as isolated grumbling.

Social bingo is crowded and most players keep two or three installed. These are the closest comparisons.

• Bingo Blitz: Play Studios. The genre benchmark, with a travel-collection layer directly comparable to the room and pet systems here, and a larger power-up set.
• Bingo Bash: Scopely. Longer-running with more accumulated systems, including its own album line and league ladder.
• Bingo Frenzy: Vertex Games. Runs 90-ball as well as 75-ball, with a cooking meta-game in place of pets.
• Bingo Showdown: SciPlay. Live tournament rounds as the main loop, for players who want competition foregrounded over collecting.

Bingo Pop's strengths are the offline mode, the sheer volume of rooms and levels, and collection systems with more depth than most rivals attempt. Its weakness is the cherry economy, which tightens sharply in the High Rollers lobby and around final collection items. Getting past level 65 and into an active club is what separates players who stay from players who hit the wall.
